Corrections Policy

How we fix mistakes - openly and quickly.

Last updated October 6, 2026

We work hard to get things right, but when we make a mistake we own it and fix it openly.

How to report an error

Send us the link to the story, what is wrong and, if you can, evidence of the correct information. Email: support@dapstrem.com

What happens next

  • An editor reviews every request, normally within 24 hours (sooner for serious errors).
  • If a fact is wrong, we fix the story and add a note at the end: "Correction: an earlier version of this story said… This has been corrected." with the date.
  • If a story is updated with new information, we add an "Update" note and the updated time.
  • Small spelling or style fixes that do not change the meaning are made without a note.
  • We do not quietly delete stories. In the rare case a story must be removed (for legal or safety reasons) we explain why where we can.
  • Corrections are also made on our social media posts where the error appeared.

Right of reply and complaints

If you were named in a story and want to respond, contact us and we will consider adding your response. If you are not satisfied with how we handled a complaint, you can escalate it to the Media Council of Kenya.
