Travis Scott Arrested in Paris Following Altercation with Bodyguard at Luxury Hotel

Houston rapper Travis Scott was arrested on Friday morning (Aug. 9) in Paris after an alleged altercation at the luxurious George V hotel in central Paris. The incident reportedly involved Scott, his own bodyguard, and a security guard who tried to intervene.

According to CBS News, the confrontation escalated when Scott allegedly attacked the security guard, who was attempting to break up a fight between the rapper and his bodyguard. The Paris prosecutor’s office released a statement confirming the incident, saying, “On August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard. The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st district of the judicial police.”

Scott is currently in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games and was spotted the day before attending Team USA’s basketball semifinal win against Serbia.

This isn’t the first time the “SICKO MODE” artist has found himself in legal trouble. Back in June, Scott was arrested in Miami, Florida, on charges of alleged disorderly intoxication and trespassing. Reports from that incident indicated that Scott was involved in a disturbance at the Miami Beach Marina, where he was reportedly “standing by the dock yelling at the vessel’s occupants.”

The outcome of this latest incident in Paris is yet to be determined, but it adds to the rapper’s growing list of legal issues.
