MAN STABBED LOVER OVER FOOD- MIGORI

A 20-year-old woman is in police custody for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in Suna East, Migori County.

Upper Kakrao Assistant Chief Wycliffe Onyango said the suspect is believed to have stabbed the 23-year-old victim in Kakrao village.

“The two were living together in a rented house at the trading centre. A neighbor is said to have offered them a meal on Sunday night. The woman was not amused,” Onyango said.

An argument ensued, before the woman dashed for a knife. She stabbed her boyfriend, leaving him with serious injuries.

“She has been cohabiting with her boyfriend without her parents’ knowledge. The parents got wind of the information when the incident was reported to police,” Onyango added.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he is currently receiving treatment. The suspect, who finished her secondary school education recently, was arrested by police following the incident.
