Three people were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident that occurred on Tuesday morning at Kimende area in Kiambu County.

Confirming the incident, Lari Sub-County police boss Steve Kirui said the incident involved a 14-seater matatu bound for Naivasha and a lorry that was heading towards Nairobi.

It is alleged that the truck driver tried to overtake other vehicles and collided head-on with the matatu.
