Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga is on Saturday expected to hold a rallies in Thika, Kiambu County, in his larger effort to consolidate votes from the Mt. Kenya region ahead of the August presidential elections.
Kiambu County Governor James Nyoro has told Citizen Digital that everything is set to receive Odinga and his Azimio la Umoja rallying call.
Governor Nyoro also said leaders as well as residents of the Mt. Kenya region will take Odinga’s visit as an opportunity to present to him their expectations should he clinch the seat.
He further called on the region’s residents to maintain peace ahead of the former premier’s visit and give his Azimio la Umoja rallying call an ear.
Odinga is expected to give addresses at the Thika stadium as well as Mount Kenya University.
