Lands CAS Gideon Mung’aro has joined the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) bidding to run for the Kilifi governor seat in 2022.
Mung’aro was greeted by Raila Odinga, the party’s leader, in Malindi on the second day of a three-day coastal region tour aimed at popularizing the party’s agenda and wooing supporters ahead of the general election in 2022.
His move comes after he ditched Jubilee party early this year, a move that elicited reactions from some coastal politicians labelling him as a disloyal person who campaigned against ODM in last election.
Mr.Odinga was accompanied by Machakos governor Alfred Mutua, Siaya Senator James Orengo and other ODM party members.
They will later tour regions of Kilifi and end the trail in Kwale.
