AM KEEPING MY SELF PURE TILL MARRIAGE- ERICK OMONDI

Erick Omondi has now claimed that he is staying celibate till marriage, saying that he is not even a fan of sex to begin with.

In an interview that he shared on Instagram stories, Omondi, who is gearing up for the premiere of his new season of Wife Material, stated that he is keeping himself pure until he marries.

“I have decided to keep myself pure until marriage and I hope people will respect my decision.” Omondi said.

“I personally I’m not a lover, I’m not a fan of sex and sex is not something that I think about or I’d love to do.”

According to Omondi, who also claims to be Africa’s president of comedy, sex is a distraction that will derail his successful comedy career.

The comedian appeared eager to clear the air, especially given that his reality show had been chastised for its racy, and frequently x-rated, content.

“I want to focus on my career and I just think sex is a distraction especially before marriage. I just want to keep myself pure.” he added.

The show had run into headwinds after former KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua demanded an investigation into the comedian’s conduct regarding the controversial Wife Material show, claiming it depicted sexual, immoral, and indecent content.

According to Mutua, young girls were being duped into watching the show and were being forced to commit immoral acts.

He also claimed that the public was subjected to sexual acts that degraded societal morals and misled young people into aping acts that are not acceptable in African culture.

But Omondi who has now promised a bigger and better season of the show says he is laser focused on his career, and is keen on avoiding anything that would impact his career negatively.
