Akothee Shares Insights on the Absence of Certain Individuals, Including Family Members, from Her Wedding

The nuptials of Kenyan songstress Akothee and her Swiss beau, Schweizer Omosh, were an extravagant celebration graced by dignitaries from various spheres of life. However, the conspicuous absence of Akothee’s sister, Cebbie Koks, at the wedding ceremony raised speculation and rumors of a possible dispute.

In a recent Instagram post, Akothee revealed the reason why some individuals were not present at her wedding. According to her, family is a group of people connected by blood who may not necessarily know each other. She cautioned against using significant events such as weddings for family reconciliations, asserting that forgiveness does not require a public display.

Akothee stressed the significance of establishing boundaries, particularly when dealing with family, and pointed out that keeping family as family does not equate to being friends or close. She advised against compelling issues with family, which could strain relationships and cause hurt feelings.

Akothee disclosed that the best aspect of her wedding was choosing the guest list, inviting only people she wished to share her special day with. Those who did not attend did not receive an invitation. She further noted that setting boundaries and forgiving ourselves and others can foster healthy relationships with loved ones, even if we do not always see eye to eye with them.
