REACHAL RUTO’S MESSAGE TO HER HUSBAND

Incoming first lady Mama Rachel Ruto has penned a heartfelt message to her husband William Ruto whose election was upheld by the Supreme Court.

Rachel congratulated Ruto’s latest win shortly after the Supreme Court delivered its judgement.

“Congratulations Bill my love. God has done it. I am proud of you! May He give you the grace & wisdom to lead Kenya into greatness! You were born and destined for this!” she said.

She went on to quote a scripture from the Bible; Hebrews 10:23 which reads,

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm for God can be trusted to keep His promise.”

The incoming first lady also led prayers at the Deputy President’s residence in Karen, where they will be moving from in the coming weeks.

The Supreme Court of Kenya has announced that the 2022 presidential election results declared by IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati have been upheld.

Chebukati had declared Ruto as president-elect after garnering 7,176,141 votes (50.49%) against Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s 6,942,930 (48.85%)votes.

Speaking while delivering the judgement, Chief Justice Martha Koome said that the full judgment would be shared after 21 days.
