ELECT DP RUTO AT YOUR OWN RISK, UHURU TELLS MOUNT KENYA

President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned Mount Kenya residents against being misled in their choice of the president as he hit out at his deputy, William Ruto.

In what appeared to be a bare-knuckle attack on Ruto, the president resorted to his mother tongue as he discredited his deputy’s hustler narrative.

The president also defended his choice of Odinga as his preferred successor, saying he was a safer pair of hands as he was more concerned about the state of the nation.

The president was in his vote-rich Kiambu county backyard where he issued title deeds to residents of Ndeiya…and with the region listed as one of his deputy’s strongholds, president Kenyatta delved into the succession debate…

“Kenya ni ya wakenya na kama kama hawajiskii mahali walipo hakutakuwa na amani na kama kuna mtu anaona haya na yuko kwa serikali na hatambui mambo ya ukweli lakini kuna huyo mzee ambaye anatambua kuwa injustice to any citizen is a recipe for distster na anataka kuwe na amani, ends in kyuk heri mzee…” President Kenyatta said.

The president sounded a warning to his Mount Kenya backyard, where his deputy enjoys considerable support..

He added.

As he put up a case for his pet subject the BBI specifically the push for one man one vote one shilling, Kenyatta said the initiative was only set to level the playing field, questioning the authenticity of DP Ruto’s hustler nation campaign…
