Manchester United striker Christiano Ronaldo will wear the iconic number seven shirt again.
The was after the Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani agreed to surrender the shirt.
Ronaldo rejoined United from Juventus last week, but Cavani had the number seven at the start of this season, raising the possibility of Ronaldo having to don a different shirt.
Edinson Cavani agreed to swap the shirt to 21 so that Ronaldo can reclaim his jersey.
Also the club’s website made it clear about switching of the shirts between the two players.
“Manchester United can confirm that Cristiano Ronaldo will wear the iconic no.7 shirt after returning to Old Trafford,” the club said on their website.
On Wednesday, Ronaldo was awarded the Men’s Best Internation goal scorer with a late double as Portugal came from behind to beat the Republic of Ireland 2-1.
